Care Instructions for Silk Instrument Items

To take care of your new silk item, please take note of the following info!

  • Keep your item dry. Unless it is a single layer bag, it is dry clean only!

  • Wipe down your instrument and strings as you pack up to help with rosin dust

  • If your case has a velcro loop at the neck to hold the instrument in place, be careful to keep the hook side of the velcro away from your silk as it can snag or get fuzzy

  • When you first received it, it was probably wrinkled from being packed up. You can iron it with a moderately hot iron and it should get rid of all of that. Keep the iron moving and make sure the steam setting is OFF!
